Matt Domboski, project manager and estimator for our King of Prussia, Pa. office, joined the Reynolds Restoration Services team in December 2020. In his role, he manages both commercial and residential reconstruction projects from initial estimates through completion.
Matt describes his role in a much broader sense. “My job is to bring families home,” shares Matt. “Home is where you charge and reset. My goal is to always get homeowners back into their homes as quickly as possible. If I were in a situation where I was displaced from my home, I would want the same kind of attention and care.”
Prior to joining the team, Matt worked in the construction industry mostly in the field. He credits his smooth transition into the project manager and estimating role to his colleague Chris Giangiulio, training and estimating manager. “Chris and I have similar backgrounds and he was, and still is, such a great mentor to me. My success is directly related to how much time he and the entire office invested in me,” shares Matt.
An early bird, Matt is up by 4:30 a.m. on workdays. He hits his home gym around 5 a.m., puts in a good workout, then gets ready to be at the office by 7 a.m. Once settled in at the office, he preps his field teams for the day, spends some time on emails, develops estimates, and makes sure projects are moving forward smoothly. Matt also spends time during the week in the field, and often heads out to project sites to check in with the customer and the teams on the job.
Hard-pressed to pick just one moment that has stood out for him since he started with us in 2020, Matt shared how proud he was of his reconstruction team for earning the profit-sharing award earlier this year. Each quarter, teams are recognized monetarily for meeting or exceeding their goals.
“Everyone worked so hard to earn that recognition and it was a crowning achievement for the office. We definitely celebrated that success! I am still in awe of how our leadership team takes care of our crews. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy coming to work each and every day,” says Matt.
Outside of work, Matt is mostly likely spending time with his wife of 17 years, Sarah. He and Sarah are golf enthusiasts and enjoy spending time together on the golf course. They also like to cheer on their favorite sports teams, especially the Philadelphia Flyers. For his birthday last year, they traveled to catch the Flyers in Seattle and Vancouver.
Matt, who holds an associate degree in construction management, is originally from West Chester, Pa. He and Sarah reside in Coatesville with their furry family – kitties Penny, Rip, and Barns.
