Wes TanakaWes Tanaka joined Reynolds Restoration Services in October 2020 as a carpenter. In just a few months, Wes was promoted to assistant project manager before being promoted yet again to project manager in October 2021. As a project manager, Wes oversees projects from initial estimate through completion, monitors field inspections, communicates with insurance adjustors and owners, coordinates contractors and vendors, oversees quality assurance and budgets, and is the main point of contact for stakeholders.

“Wes is a motivated, responsible, and reliable team member,” says Craig McConnell, branch manager for the Elkridge, Md. office. “In the short time he’s been with Reynolds Restoration Services I have seen him excel in all areas of our field. He’s on top of every project and our customers, contractors, and vendors appreciate his commitment to success. Wes is a true asset to the team.”

Wes starts his day early at the office, checking emails and knocking off items on his to-do list before heading out into the field. Wes admittedly loves getting out to project sites and interacting with the field crews, clients, and vendors. “I really enjoy the organizational aspect of what I do,” says Wes. “I love getting the crews organized and lined up for the day, coordinating schedules with owners and property managers, and buttoning up loose ends. In our line of work, organization is key to success.”

Prior to joining Reynolds Restoration Services, Wes served as a carpenter for a residential construction general contractor. This experience helped him learn how to run a project and how to meet the needs of both the client and the team. Wes notes one key difference between Reynolds Restoration Services and other companies he’s worked for – team communication.

“At other companies, I felt internal communication was tough. I never felt I could speak freely and make my voice heard. It’s different at Reynolds Restoration, though. We have a great team in place and our personalities click. Our team understands each other and works well together. I appreciate that about Reynolds,” says Wes.

Wes is currently enrolled in community college and plans to continue his education at the University of Maryland after graduation. Wes lives in the Federal Hill neighborhood in Baltimore with his girlfriend, Katelynn and their four-legged family members. When not at work, Wes loves to explore local restaurants and pubs, get out hiking, and hit the gym.
