Gisell GavidiaGisell Gavidia started with Reynolds Restoration Services in January 2024 as an emergency restoration technician. By July 2024, her dedication and skills led to a promotion as Emergency Services Field Supervisor for the Baltimore office. In this role, Gisell oversees emergency projects, ensuring that client needs are met and that her team is equipped with the right training and resources. Her commitment to the field, along with her passion for helping people during crises, has made her a key player in Reynolds Restoration’s success.

Before joining Reynolds Restoration, Gisell worked for a large national restoration company, where she honed her skills but felt disconnected. Reflecting on her past experience, she shared, “I often felt like a number at my previous company.” Her experience at Reynolds, however, has been a refreshing change. “Here, we work as a team. There’s open communication, and it truly feels like a family,” Gisell said. “That’s one of the main reasons I love working here.” This supportive environment has been key to her growth and job satisfaction.

The restoration industry requires an early start, and for Gisell, that means waking up at 6 a.m. and heading straight for coffee to kick off her day. At 7:15 a.m., she’s with her team for their daily meeting, where they review the job schedule, address potential challenges, and ensure they have the necessary equipment and resources. These early morning meetings are essential in preparing the field teams for the day ahead and setting them up for success on every project.

Gisell loves being in the field as part of a dedicated team that assists families and business owners in recovering from disasters. While she enjoys guiding families through challenging times, her true passion lies in commercial hotel projects. “Hotel mitigation projects can be both complex and rewarding,” Gisell shares. “I like the challenge of managing large-scale properties.”

When looking back on the last few months, Gisell fondly recalls a time when the team went out to lunch to celebrate a colleague’s upcoming wedding. “We all celebrated liked a family. This wasn’t the norm at other companies I have worked for. This is truly something special.”

When she’s not on the job, Gisell cherishes time with her family. She recently returned from her third visit to El Salvador, her favorite travel destination, where she connected with relatives. Gisell and her sister, Ismery—who also works at Reynolds Restoration—enjoy shopping excursions, especially when they can browse through Home Goods. On sunny days, you might find them taking leisurely walks around the lake with their brother, Gustavo.

Gisell and her siblings share a home in Prince George’s County with their mother and a family friend, along with their beloved pets: Bruno, a Maltipoo; Mia, a Chihuahua-Yorkie mix; and Icely, the newest addition—a playful kitten.
