Jonas and his wife Amanda outside of Glacier National Park

Jonas Lowry joined the Reynolds Restoration Services team in our King of Prussia office as a carpenter in 2021. As a carpenter, Jonas works with both our mitigation and reconstruction teams to help families and business owners get their buildings back to their pre-loss condition.  His responsibilities span a spectrum of tasks, including demolition, drywall installation, flooring, blocking & millwork, framing, carpentry, as well as handling light electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work.

Jonas is currently enrolled in the ABC Keystone Carpentry apprenticeship program. Through this four-year program, Jonas is gaining valuable experience and education through both classroom and hands-on work. This program is instrumental in enhancing Jonas’s carpentry expertise, ultimately enabling him to provide enhanced services to our clients.

Before venturing into the emergency restoration services field, Jonas served as a ceramic kiln tech, troubleshooting and diagnosing kiln issues in both commercial and artist studios. Despite enjoying working with creatives, he missed the hands-on creative process himself. Armed with a BFA in ceramics, Jonas found his passion in carpentry, describing it as a natural progression in his career.

Jonas expresses his gratitude to Reynolds Restoration Services for their support in his pursuit of the carpentry apprenticeship with ABC Keystone. He shares, “Carpentry felt like a natural next step for me in my career. I have always been drawn to it and really like creating something out of nothing, which is what I do in both ceramics and carpentry.”

While Jonas appreciates the maker aspect of his carpentry role, what truly fulfills him is the fieldwork and customer interaction. Every project presents a unique challenge, and each customer has distinct needs. Jonas remarks, “I love being able to go into someone’s home and make things look like new. Or even better than new. It’s one of the best things about being on the job.”

Outside of work, Jonas is most likely working on his own home improvement projects. He and his wife Amanda have been slowly renovating their home they bought three years ago. Their recent accomplishments include adding new cabinets to the kitchen and constructing a greenhouse in the backyard. Jonas admits that while Amanda excels in their greenhouse garden, he still enjoys getting his hands in the dirt.

Originally from northern New Jersey, Jonas resides in Pottstown with Amanda and their two pampered cats, JiJi and Osiris. Holding a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Montclair State University, Jonas anticipates completing his apprenticeship program by 2027.
