Zack Olinger, mitigation technician for our King of Prussia office, joined the Reynold Restoration Services team in March 2019. As a mitigation technician, Zack is often one of the first team members on site after an emergency. In his role, Zack is responsible for emergency mitigation, demolition, clean-up, and proper project documentation and communication.
Zack has been working in the emergency restoration industry for close to a decade and came to Reynolds Restoration Services from another regional restoration services company. Zack quickly noticed the difference in culture, work environment, and overall employee satisfaction compared to his previous company.
“At Reynolds Restoration Services, it feels different. The environment here is special and leadership really cares about the team. At other organizations, the holiday party was just going to a bar to get food and that was it. Reynolds Restoration goes all out for our employee appreciate events – it’s just so fun and different from my old company,” shares Zack.
Zack starts his day by getting to the office on the earlier side – around 6:30 or 6:45 to get organized for the day. He loads what he needs into his truck, meets with the team to see what is going on for the day, and then heads out for the day to work on whatever project is assigned. He loves the variety of his job, but even more, how he helps a homeowner or business owner through a difficult time.
“I’ve seen a lot in my role over the years and nothing surprises me when it comes to a loss. But for our clients, it’s likely this is the first time they’ve been through a fire, flood, or other emergency. I try to involve homeowners throughout the process so they understand and trust us to get the job done. Being able to help someone is one of the best parts of what I do,” shares Zack.
Outside of work, Zack is likely spending time with his wife of five years, Angelica. Self-described homebodies, they enjoy a good bonfire and hanging out with friends and family. For vacations, they love visiting Ocean City, Md. and the Poconos. Zack and Angelica live in Pottstown, Pa. with their 11-year-old kitty Maggie.
