Barry Scholl, restoration technician in the King of Prussia, Pa. office, joined Reynolds Restoration Services in February 2022. With a critical role that often positions him as one of the first to respond to emergency situations, Barry exemplifies skill and a commitment to excellence. His focus spans emergency mitigation, demolition, cleanup activities, and maintaining clear and effective project documentation and communication.
Barry’s path to joining Reynolds Restoration Services is a story of personal growth and professional evolution. Previously enduring the physical demands of an eight-year career as a diesel technician, which unfortunately led to multiple injuries, Barry sought a career shift. He wanted work that still allowed him to engage physically but with less strain on his body. Destiny played its hand when a long-time friend and fellow employee at Reynolds introduced him to the opportunity of becoming a restoration technician.
Reflecting on this pivotal moment, Barry says, “My friend Jason, who’s had a long and satisfying career here, brought up the open job. His encouragement and positive experience at Reynolds were all I needed to make the leap. It’s been an enriching adventure since then.”
The dynamism of the restoration field keeps Barry motivated and energized. Facing new challenges daily, from tackling the aftermath of water damage in commercial properties to securing homes after fire incidents, Barry’s role is anything but monotonous. This diversity not only tests his abilities but also deepens his expertise and adaptability—a combination that has proven crucial in the unpredictable world of restoration services.
The transition to his current role was made smoother thanks to the supportive team at Reynolds Restoration. Barry praises the camaraderie and the shared mission among his colleagues, which makes even the most challenging tasks enjoyable. “The teamwork here is phenomenal. We all aim to assist those in dire situations, and doing so while genuinely enjoying our work is truly rewarding,” he shares.
Barry also attributes his effectiveness in his position to the training and education he received upon joining the team. He underwent a series of industry-specific training courses immediately after being hired, which significantly contributed to his knowledge and abilities. Today, Barry boasts an impressive array of certifications, including Lead Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, AMRT IICRC Certification, WRT IICRC Certification, OCT IICRC Certification, and FSRT IICRC Certification. Furthermore, he is also trained in First Aid/CPR/AED, all of which underscore his commitment to excellence and safety in his role.
Away from the office, Barry is a family man at heart. Married to Tara for nearly a decade, and a father to Reagan (6) and Ryleigh (4), family time is precious. Outdoor adventures are a common theme, be it park visits, fishing trips, or simply soaking in the fresh air of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, where they reside alongside their kitties, Sammie and Miko.
