Doug Lowman, foreman for our Harrisburg office, joined the Reynold Restoration Services team full-time in February 2021. In his role, Doug oversees both commercial and residential reconstruction projects from start to finish ensuring all work exceeds our customers’ expectations. Doug achieves superior customer service through documentation, communication, and coordination.
Doug started learning construction and trade skills at a young age, mostly by ‘making a mess’ of his dad’s workshop. In high school, Doug got hands-on experience in a carpentry vocational program. These experiences set him up for a career in the construction industry.
After high school, Doug built homes in the Harrisburg area for close to 9 years and then moved into commercial construction until the 2008 recession. At this point, Doug realized his skills were uniquely aligned with the needs of the emergency restoration industry and he then started working for a local restoration company before landing at Reynolds Restoration Services.
“Reynolds Restoration is different than the other company I worked for in the industry and it mostly comes down to our president, Anthony. Anthony’s willingness to share information about the company’s health and progress is something that other companies don’t do. He is very transparent, and I appreciate that about him and the company in general,” shares Doug.
While many people shy away from uncertainty, it’s one of the things Doug loves most about his job. The emergency restoration industry is always unpredictable, and no two days are ever the same. “There is so much variety in my job – it’s not the same day to day. One morning I could be coordinating material delivery with a subcontractor and the next morning I may be on-site with a homeowner doing a walkthrough of a project. I love the ways my days are different,” says Doug.
Outside of work, Doug is most likely spending time with his son Wyatt, 8, or kayaking on the Swatara Creek which is just minutes away from his home just outside of Hershey. You may also catch Doug taking his one-year-old Great Dane Maple for a walk.
