In this role, he is among the first responders when homeowners or businesses experience property damage. Zayd’s responsibilities encompass emergency mitigation, demolition, comprehensive clean-up, and meticulous project documentation and communication.

Before joining Reynolds Restoration, Zayd gained valuable experience in pest control and emergency restoration services. These roles not only equipped him with essential technical skills but also honed his customer service abilities. However, he found a more supportive and positive workplace culture at Reynolds Restoration, which he discovered while searching for his next opportunity.

“Working at Reynolds Restoration after being at other companies has really showed me what a workplace should feel like. Not only do I love the actual work I do, but I can’t imagine going back to a toxic environment. Here, I love the camaraderie and how refreshing, accepting, and generally awesome it is!” shares Zayd.

For Zayd, his job is more than just a means to earn a living; it is a rewarding physical challenge that allows him to assist families during emergencies. He thrives on the physical demands of the role, finding satisfaction in tasks such as hauling equipment and conducting thorough clean-ups. He enjoys staying active and fit through his work, stating, “I love to work, and this job helps me stay active and fit while also helping families in an emergency situation.”

Zayd’s day starts early, rising at 5:30 AM to join his crew by 7. During the morning meeting, the team plans and manages the day’s projects. He and his coworkers are then off to work sites to tackle the day. A standout project for him was a recent project in Philadelphia, where he was instrumental in a large-scale demolition after a kitchen fire.

A memorable aspect of Zayd’s experience at Reynolds Restoration Services has been his partnership with his coworker Thomas. Initially uncertain about their working relationship, Zayd quickly found common ground when Thomas mentioned his interest in chess. This sparked a friendly rivalry that led to chess matches during breaks and even a scoreboard in the shop. Although Thomas currently leads in victories, Zayd appreciates how each loss teaches him valuable lessons.

Outside of work, Zayd loves to spend time with his girlfriend, Marianna; play role playing games on his PlayStation; and watch anime. A native of the West Chester and Exton areas, Zayd now lives in Downingtown with his girlfriend and their two spoiled cats, 10-year-old Matchi and a kitten, Roxii. Together, they are planning to purchase their first home in 2025.
